Review

Before 2009, this was a pretty uneventful wine bar that never really caught my imagination. However, since then it has been revived and transformed into one of the premier dedicated cider venues in Bristol. The Bristol Cider House has a relaxed atmosphere in which to enjoy a lovely cider, with a choice of around 15-20 available on draught/bottles. Every visit there is like going to a mini cider festival.

On a Saturday they hold their own cider festival with 20 local ciders on offer, hog roast rolls & even live bands. For any mid-week cider drinkers, then order a pint between 5-7pm on Tuesday-Thursday, where you can “toss the boss” (i.e call heads or tails correctly) to win £1 off your pint! Brucie bonus!

Other advantages include the small, covered sun terrace upstairs, the ability to book cider or wine tastings to be held at the venue (organiser goes free!) and ‘host a roast’ events (again, organiser goes free).

Easily the best specialist Cider pub I have ever been to. Hard to compete with the quality and range of cider an always a great atmosphere. Charlie the landlord is a LEGEND as well!
