Well where do I start with the Exhibition cider? It’s an exclusive cider just for the Cori Tap and thus will not be seen elsewhere. Though I am sure one of the big cider-makers make this for them, but I cannot find the details of this anywhere. The cider itself is as strong as it can get (8.4%) before it is classed as apple wine, which means only half-pint measures I am afraid. It sure isn’t a session cider, so half-pints are fine with me!

I remember when I first got hooked on cider, this was a drink I’d always try and get my hands on. Mainly this was because back in those days I just wanted to get drunk quite easily. Now look how times have changed now. All I want is a cider that tastes good and not necessarily all about the alcohol.

The cider has a light sweet tingle on first taste, which is then followed by a long dry bitterness. For me it just seems a bit like Blackthorn but with a more interesting and better taste. I’m not sure if the recipe has changed over the years, but when I last tasted it a couple of years ago, I’m sure it didn’t have a slight sparkling taste it does now. If they concentrated more in producing a better flavour, than about alcohol content, then it would be so much better. It’s not an amazing cider or even one I’d go out of my way for, but it does have a place and I can respect it.
