Bounders cider is made by Bath Ciders, who are a spin off of Bath Ales/West Country Ales. I’ve tried their ales before and found them pleasant, but can their ciders match up to it?

The initial smell feels very sweet apple with a hint of ethanol about it. Although this is a sparkling cider, I didn’t find it too over powering with fizz like some producers do.

As for the taste, it’s simple, easy going and not bad. However, there is nothing exciting about it. It’s on the same scale as your stowford press and thatchers gold. It feels a bit too sweet and artificial for my liking. It’s a cider to chill with in the summer when you need a cool cider and don’t want to resort to dreadful strongbow/magners.

Overall expect a pleasant drink but don’t expect to be blown away with the taste.

Would I buy this again?: If nothing better available then yes

Overall Rating: 5.5/10
