I’m struggling to find new cider at the minute folks. I’ve not been able to get to any cider shops and the supermarkets are not really being much of a help, so it’s time to consult the higher cider shelves now. I climb up high and hope for the best and all I have is the Badger Pear Wood Cider. That will have to do for today then!

I had a good run going of non-mainstream ciders didn’t I? Unfortunately that is now coming to an end today, as the cider shelf is bare of new and exciting ciders. I’m now working my way up the shelf and have stumbled upon the Green Goblin cider from Thatchers as my next cider of choice to try.

Ashill Dry Cider Review

Served: Pint at room temperature
Smell: Rustic apples/Ethanol
Colour: Amber
Clarity: Clear
Carbonation: Still

Review/Tasting Notes:

Purchased From: Ashill Farm
Date: 28/05/13

As I was coming back from the camping on Monday, I noticed a sign on the side of the road for cider. I don’t need more of a calling than that, so I followed the signs and ended up at Ashill Farm. What better than an impromptu cider trip! It said to honk my horn for cider and I obliged. Up pops a lady from the house and I was invited into the cider barn to taste the cider they had on offer. They had just the sweet or dry on, so I opted for the dry cider.
