19th-20th October – The Killerton Cider and Apple Weekend 2013 (Exeter, Devon) Preview

Entry Price/Session times:

Sat 19th October: 10am-5pm (£2 Adult/£1 Child/£5 Family)
Sun 20th October: 10am-5pm (£2 Adult/£1 Child/£5 Family)

Concessions: Free entry to National Trust members and under 5’s.

Tickets: Available on the door.

Ciders/Perries: There will be a cider bar with mulled cider and juice available.

Food: There will be a hog roast.

Entertainment: A medieval mumming play (a traditional folk performance) and a lively morris dance by a local folk group who bless the apples, keeping an old Devon custom alive. Children will be amazed by the magical atmosphere of the orchard as they follow the trails, enjoy traditional games and make a mask to be worn in the bumblebee parade. An apple juggler and magician will entertain the crowds on his unicycle and families can compete amongst themselves on the apple shy, hog’s mouth target and other traditional village fete games.

There will also be live music hand-picked by Oxjam Exeter specially for the event.
