Devil’s Device, Mr Whiteheads, 8.4 abv, Med Dry

Fanny Liquor, Orchard’s Cider Co, 7.1 abv, Sweet
Picked from ancient orchards on the slopes of the Wye Valley, these rare traditional cider fruits are pressed, matured and blended to create a sweet scrumpy style cider, sharp and sour giving a fresh apple flavour with a good nose and a bit of a delayed kick. It is said in folklore to get its name from being the Milkmaids favoured drink !

Foxwelp, Gwatkins Cider Co, 7.5 abv, Dry
A dry crisp cider, full of body and flavour. Golden coloured very hazy in appearance and fruity with a really dry lasting finish.

Game Cock, Gwatkins Cider Co, 4.5 abv, Sweet
Sweet Cider, a slightly hazy golden colour. Flavour is sweet-acidic with green apples, wood and funk.

Gold on Draught, Thatchers Cider, 4.8 abv, Medium
Produced from Somerset grown apples. Naturally fermented and matured in 100 year old oak vats using the best of our traditional approach and modern techniques for a refreshing cider with a smooth appley taste and bright sparkle. Gold tastes as good as it looks

Gold Rush, Oliver’s Cider & Perry, 7.0 abv, Med Dry
Produced in collaboration with Virtue Cider of Chicago for export to the USA this cider pressed from carefully selected bittersweet and sharp fruit grown in vintage traditional Herefordshire orchards, slow fermented by wild yeasts in old Oak barrels, then after a malolactic fermentation in the spring, fruit, sugar and Lambic yeasts were added for a second fermentation adding more complexity and alcohol. This resulted in a bright rich cider with an “apple skins” nose giving way to a robust taste with a very satisfying finish.

Hangdown, Heck’s Cider & Perry, 6.5 abv, Med Dry
This cider gets its name from the way the apples hang down in clusters on the tree. The juice when pressed is left to mature in old Oak barrels to produce a cider that has a woody aroma with notes of fresh apples, some acidity and earthiness with background note of rum and long dry finish.

Produced locally from a variety of apples grown in the centuries old home orchard of the farm, pressed in the traditional way, matured in oak barrels, blended to a hazy gold colour big apple aroma with some oak wood background, a dry tannin finish with some peppery spice if a litte tart.

Old Kirton, Sandford Orchards, 6.0 abv, Very Dry
Straw pressed still cider, as dry as they get. An extremely traditional cider, really good with strong cheese or fatty meats and superb as a cooking cider. Straw pressing is a craft which is hanging on in very few places, but not to be bettered according to the purists.

Paddy’s Refuel, Gwynt Y Ddraig, 5.3 abv, Medium
A Golden medium cider from the heart of the Welsh Valleys, It has a refreshing apple aroma, smooth balanced flavour that has a fresh crisp sharpness.

Pheasant Plucker, Original Cider Co, 4.5 abv, Medium,
Very appley pleasant to the mouth, it pours light gold. Aroma is tart with some fruity overtones and barnyard notes,overall well balanced.

Produced from selected pears grown on the slopes of the Polden Hills and Somerset levels, blended to produce a hazy green, yellow coloured Perry with a pear aroma, hint of pithy funkiness and green apples. Very traditional, challenging and a little deceptive drink with care.

Porters Perfection, Heck’s Cider & Perry, 7.0 abv, Medium
Porters Perfection a large orangy bittersweet apple originated in the 19th century in East Lambrook. Now common throughout
Somerset it produces an unusual cider with a pinky hue and crisp taste but full bodied and fruity more like a fine wine

Portwine of Glastonbury, Heck’s Cider & Perry, 6.5 abv, Med Sweet
True to its name this Apple has its origins in the orchards below Glastonbury Tor. After pressing the juice is left to mature in old Oak barrels to produce a cider that is easy on the palate with light effervescence and lemony overtones. It is a true session cider.

Pychard Traditional, Oliver’s Cider & Perry, 6.0 abv, Dry

Singing Cider, Chants Somerset Cider, 7.5 abv Medium
Traditional natural cloudy medium Somerset cider made on the same site at Piltown Farm West Pennard for the past 200 years. A fruity flavour and appley aroma with a bit of a kick. “Said to be a favourite of the Wurzel’s”

Shakey Bridge, Sandford Orchards, 6.0 abv, Med Sweet
A rich medium sweet cider. All the body and bite of a scrumpy, with a fresh apple finish which makes for a distinctly moreish and enjoyable cider. Named after a local landmark in the Credition area from days gone by “Shaky” was a right of passage across the raging torrent of a local stream, a true test of character, putting the rope bridges of the high Himalayas to shame.

Slack-Ma-Girdle, Heck’s Cider & Perry, 7.0 abv, Med
As good a cider as it’s name is unusual, this is one you won’t forget. A wine like cider which is fruity on the nose with an intriguing walnut aftertaste. We leave the origins of its name to the drinkers imagination.

Somerset Traditional Dry, Thatchers Cider, 6.0 abv, Dry
Based on an orginal 1904 recipe, Traditional is a hazy, unfiltered and un-carbonated cider, but with a natural subtle sparkle. Specially produced from a blend of Somerset grown bittersweet apples it has a mellow and smooth taste that will appeal to those who enjoy real Somerset cider at its best.

Medium golden cider reminiscent of harvests in days gone. This cider has been produced in aid of the Welsh Warrior charity that supports fallen Heroes.
