Event Information:

Off the back of two sold out events, The Cider Box returns to Queen of Hoxton’s rooftop WigWamBam in the company of 30 traditional ciders straight from the Somerset presses. ‘Republic of Somerset’ brings together cider lovers from all corners of London, to celebrate ‘real cider’, which CAMRA defines as ‘a long-established traditional drink which is produced naturally from apples and is neither carbonated or pasteurised’. Somerset-born founder of The Cider Box, Dan Heath, continues his mission to educate about how real cider should taste, armed with secrets and stories about his beautiful creations.

The afternoon will consist of tutored tasting sessions, lashings of mead and maybe even a drop of Somerset Cider Brandy, all whilst nestled under the stars in Queen of Hoxton’s rooftop WigWamBam. Each ticket includes four half pints and a meal from the circle grill, with a specially-curated food menu including: flame-grilled pork chop with sweet potato, curly kale & pea hot-pot with apple cider sauce, homemade apple, mustard & sage sausage patties with colcannon mash & gravy, Pumpkin, squash & vegetable pie with cider & cheddar sauce (V) .

Come, toast the winter, and celebrate Britain’s greatest export: Cider.
