For the first time in like forever I’m going to be having 2 new ciders in one night. This certainly is a break from the norm and I am finally back into the swing of things. If you had been reading my earlier post, then you’ll realise this is also my 2nd Gwynt y Ddraig cider of the night too. Following on from the Dabinett (SV) cider, I will now be having the Farmhouse Cloudy Scrumpy.

Wow it’s been a while hasn’t it since my last review?!? Time didn’t fly because I wasn’t having fun, but at least I’m on the road to recovery now and have managed to find a couple of new ciders at my local off-license. Nothing too glamorous was found in there that I hadn’t tried before, but I did manage to find a couple of new Gwynt y Ddraig ciders. Up first is the Dabinett Single Variety (SV) cider.

Review:

So next on my radar was a Welsh cider, with the Gwynt y Ddraig ciders taking my fancy at this time. I’m not too sure why, as I have had them many times before, but I guess I was just trying to see if they had anything different. I’ve had plenty of good things from their range previously, such as the Black Dragon and Two Trees Perry, but this time I was going to opt for the Fiery Fox. The lady serving me said it got its name because they add a touch of ginger to the cider, which gives it a slightly fiery taste. I’ve had some good and bad experiences with ginger adding to cider before, but it’s when the ginger overpowers it that I hate most. It’s a cider drink after all and I want to taste that!
