Review:

After trying and failing to get some of the Blackbeard cider on my trek to the Golden Guinea, I settled for a cool pint of the Kingstone Press draught cider. This is the first time I have seen this on the tap, as it is usually found in bottles down a local supermarket.

Review

This was probably the best cider pub in Nottingham we found for its range of ciders alone. Although most were made up from Westons/Thatchers, it did have the likes of Black Dragon which were a nice alternative. From a history point of view, this is one of the oldest pubs in Nottingham, with it dating back to 1240 AD. Apparently they have their own ghost called Rosie too and do ghost walks. Not my thing, but could be for you! It seemed a pretty laid back traditional pub that I’d definitely visit again. Read the rest of this entry »

Review

A proper Bristol cider pub, centrally located in the heart of the city, just off Kings Street. Well when I say a pub, I really mean a boat, with the bar spread over both decks with ample outside seating docked on the river. With the selection of cider on tap and bottled, then you are really spoilt for choice. If I was to choose somewhere to wind away those long Saturday afternoons then this would be it.
