Following on from trying the ApfelweinKontor WeinAusApfeln Bohnapfel & Boskoop Apfelwein mit Speierling (2013) Restsüss apfelwein earlier, I wanted to continue my cider exploration mission through Europe and the next stop is Austria. This is some of the cider I managed to get last year at the Salon des Mostes Festival, which comes in the shape of Erbachhofer Apfelmost (SV) from Hansbauer.

My trip to Asturias felt like a lifetime ago (nearly 8 months now!), but after hearing a friend of mine was having an Asturian cider tonight I thought I’d join in too and try and rekindle my time in Asturias. Ah so many good memories of the region and their passion for everything sidra! Up for the tasting tonight is the Pomarina (Brut) sidra.

Up again today is another cider from St. Ives cider company, which this time comes in the shape of their Smeatons cider. Having had a partial success with their Clodgy Cider earlier in the week, I’m intrigued to see how this one compares.
