A proper Bristol cider pub, centrally located in the heart of the city, just off Kings Street. Well when I say a pub, I really mean a boat, with the bar spread over both decks with ample outside seating docked on the river. Finding a decent pub so close to Broadmead has been quite a challenge. However, in discovering The Bank Tavern, this mission has now been completed! A true hidden gem in the heart of Kingsdown. This is a small and cosy pub, but still has the charm of a drinking hole from back in the day. At around £2.10 per pint, it still has the prices from back then too! This is quickly becoming one of my favourite locals. The bizarre thing about this place is the outside toilets with the amazing mural all over it. Not one I want to brave on this cold winter nights! Read the rest of this entry »
