Review

Walking on an average Saturday afternoon through Gloucester, you would not normally realise that this place even existed. Situated through an arch next to a Church, you wouldn’t expect to find a pub, let alone a pub with so much character and cider on offer!

Review:

When going into the pub for a pint of cider, at first I thought the barman was trying to offer me some flowers when I asked what ciders they had. I had a slightly puzzled look about myself and then realised he was trying to offer me a rosehip cider after pointing to the blackboard on the wall. I never even knew what a rosehip was (apparently it’s the fruit of a rose plant), let alone how it would taste. But I thought sod it and plumped for that as I had never had it before.

Review

The pub is ideally located right next door to the station. Perfect for a quick pint before/after you’re catching a train. We opted for the latter. It’s a no-frills pub which serves a good pint, even if it is only Westons. Perfectly away-fans friendly for the football, very welcoming and you can have a good chat as there is no loud music.
