So my final pint before I head off to home is a Winkleigh Sam’s Dry Cider. I wanted to go for something local and this was the one that I recognised. I wasn’t hugely excited with the medium I had previously, so could this be an improvement on that?

After a brilliant victory for Bristol Rovers today against Exeter, it was only fitting to find a decent cider to celebrate our first win of the season. After trawling through a few pubs we came across the Old Fire House, which is like a cider lovers heaven. There’s a good 10 real ciders on, so for a change I actually had a tough choice picking what I wanted. I eventually opted for the Bridge Farm Brown Snout cider, as I never realised they even did that before!

Review/Tasting Notes:

Purchased From: Sainsbury’s

Now I’m back on a supermarket cider again and this time a Sainsburys Sparkling French Cider. Well it’s technically not made by then, but actually made by Les Celliers Associés for them. It’s been a while since I have been to the Seven Stars in Bristol, which has quickly come to my attention of being a great place for a decent pint of cider in Bristol. If you haven’t been before, then it’s worth a visit. I shall certainly be back soon, especially as it’s so close to my mates place.
