Cider Name: Devon Mist
Region: Devon
ABV: 4.5%
Taste: Medium/Sweet
Served: Chilled pint
Smell: Apple
Colour: Golden orange

Review:

For my 2nd cider at the Euston Cider Tap, I opted for the Sandford Orchards Devon Mist. I wanted to try a good variety of cider that night, so next on my list was to try the chilled and lighter end of the spectrum and this seemed like the perfect one to choose.

Olivers Rock (SV) Perry Review

Vital Stats:

Producer: Olivers
Perry Name: Rock Perry
Region: Herefordshire
ABV: 7%
Taste: Dry
Served: Pint at room temperature
Smell: Pears
Colour: Dull straw
Clarity: Slightly cloudy
Carbonation: Still

Review:

Now I’m not new or anything to Olivers cider, but it is a first for me to get in a review on their perry. As I have heard so many good things about their perry, then it would be a crime not to have tried and reviewed it. This perry is single variety which is made from the rock perry pear grown on Olivers orchard. Single variety perries in my opinion seem to work a lot better than a single variety cider, but maybe that’s because I have yet to find a truly bad one yet for perry. The Blakeney Red one is a great variety, so how will this match up to the likes of this?

Orchards Farmhouse Dry Cider Review

Vital Stats:

Producer: Orchards
Cider Name: Farmhouse Dry
Region: Monmouthshire
ABV: 6.7%
Taste: Medium/Dry
Served: Pint at room temperature
Smell: Apple
Colour: Dull yellow
Clarity: Cloudy
Carbonation: Still

Review:

Having previously enjoyed Orchards Blakeney Red perry, I was keen to see if their cider had as much bite as the perry did. I always love a drink where there is never an easy ride with it and you feel challenged and want to come back for more. After all, would you rather go on a safe roundabout ride or a highly exciting rollercoaster? For me that is a no brainer!
