Ah what a relief the week has come to an end and I can now relax and look forward to a bumper weekend. With that in mind, it’s time for a nice steak dinner to crack open a few apfelweins. The combination of the 2 should be immense and set me up for a great West Country Cider Tour tomorrow! Up first is the Hessen A La Carte Schoppen Apfelwein from Jorg Stier

I’ve just got back from Frankfurt today and boy what an apfelwein trip it was! There was plenty of apfelwein to be drank, cider tastings to be done and even visiting a local German apfelwein producer. It sure was a trip to remember and with any good trip you need to bring home memories of your trip and I certainly did that. 10 ciders/apfelweins were brought home and that will keep me going for a good while yet. Up first is the apfelwein by Freyeisen.
